The idea is simplicity itself - just getting together a few people interested in seeing plays and other theatrical performances, and independent / interesting films, in Islington and Hackney. The electric fleapit film club meets once a month to go to the cinema and talk about film. We meet at independent or heritage cinemas to support the smaller cinema industry and to keep heritage cinemas alive. We take it in turns to choose cinemas and films. We meet up before / after the film to discuss the brilliance or the bullshit. We (you) write reviews about the film for www.electricfleapit.com . If you like to watch films but do not have people to watch it with or people who share your taste then you can join this group to find people who like to watch the films that you like and hang out for a bit before or after to talk about it. I have an unlimited pass at Enfield Cineworld, and I would obviously be setting up these meet ups at that location, but you can suggest other locations as well. Its a new group, so sooner we get to a few members, sooner we can schedule an event.

I have tried many book clubs, film clubs, and have yet to find the one that had a good balance between a really good discussion and a really good day/night out. So why not start one myself? Passionate about film and literature, and not one to pass up a good glass of wine or beer, this is a group for those who enjoy all of the above.
